A vast repertoire of American, Brazilian, and Classical masterpieces
International pianist Gilbert Gambucci, a native of the United States who has performed on four continents throughout his career, has joined forces with sought-after musical theatre pianist and concert artist Marisa Gurgel, a native of São Paulo, Brazil, to form the North-South Piano Duo
Since 2020, the duo has performed over 100 piano concerts for four hands, captivating audiences with a vast repertoire of American, Brazilian, and Classical masterpieces in municipal and state theaters, music conservatories, private and public schools, cultural spaces, and private residences.
The duo also specializes in performing at social events and wedding ceremonies.

A native of Jessup, Pennsylvania, Gilbert began his piano studies at age 6. At 17, he was awarded the National Paderewski Piano Tournament Award in the United States.
Subsequently, he won a full tuition Emerson Scholarship Award to attend the Ithaca College School of Music in Ithaca, New York, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree. He also obtained a Teaching Degree in the Arts as well as a postgraduate degree in Psycho-Social Therapy from the Keppe & Pacheco College, and a postgraduate degree in Music Therapy from the Faculeste College.
He has performed professionally on four continents, including the United States, England, France, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Russia, and Brazil. Since 1984 he has worked daily with the International Society of Analytical Trilogy resulting in his books Inside Music – Art and Transcendence; Third Millennium Renaissance – The Vital Role of Music and the Arts in Society; and Unresolved – The Severe Pathology of Socioeconomic Power. Mr. Gambucci lectures regularly about the content of his books based in the science of Dr. Norberto R. Keppe.

A native of São Paulo, Brazil, Marisa began her musical studies at age 5 with Maria Anesia Gurgel. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Piano from the Dramatic and Music Conservatory of São Paulo and has a Postgraduate degree in Popular Music from Unifaccamp University, as well as specializations in Choral Conducting, Fundamentals of Voice, Music Therapy, and Children’s Music Education from the Faculeste College.
She has served as part of the judges panels for the “Cidinha Pio” and “Menininha Lobo” piano competitions at the Tatuí Conservatory of Music where she also worked as a professor of classical and popular piano for 16 years . She participated in both classical and popular instrumental music festivals in Tatuí and Campos do Jordão, in addition to giving music workshops for school directors and coordinators at the São Paulo Department of Education.
Her stage career includes performances as a pianist in orchestras of over 20 Broadway musicals in the largest theaters in São Paulo, in addition to performing as a solo pianist with the Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.
Currently, Marisa is the conductor of the Keppe and Pacheco College Choir, the Children’s Choir of the Keppe and Pacheco Academy of Arts of Cambuquira, and the Afro Women’s Choir of Minas Gerais. She is a professor at the Keppe and Pacheco College and, performs regularly with the North-South Piano Duo.
In February 2026, the North-South Piano Duo was honored by the Brazilian Society of Eubiose for its performance at their 77th International Convention. The concert was recognized not only for its impeccable technique, but also for the integration of art, culture, and the elevating purposes of human development.
